not a virus, it comes with "trainer" programs for games and stuff, it's how they hook into the OS's keyboard routines. :-)

Although it hooks into the OS's Keyboard routines for the trainer to work as you said, that still doesn't denote the possibility that these programs could be essentially trojan horses themselves. Who says the DLL isn't active at all times on some primitive level.

H@TKEYSH@@K was a slick little bastard back in late 2005 due to the innovative way it avoids detection while logging your keystrokes, saving to a temporary file and uploading to the admin. Note that I was on dial-up and only connected to the net for a few minutes per day and still the ****er found me and remained stealthy for months while hijacking my desktop.

Not so hard to remove anymore...

Not hard to remove, but irksome. Caught it this morning after an attempt at my computer's security being compromised.

This file came from Red alert 2 yuris revenge trainer. In my case it MAY be a false positive. Trainers are made to hook into exe address space. I'll run it through IDA.
